WHO: Castiel and Faith
WHAT: An angel walks into a vampire bar...
WHEN: Around the weekend
WHERE: Some seedy bar in DTLA
WARNINGS: Just a really good time, honestly. LOL
Being at a lost wasn't anything new for Castiel. He remembered when he lost his grace and was forced to live out a human life. It was a hard time but somehow this felt harder. Being stuck on earth had its opportunities but stuck in a lone city felt more surreal. There was no means to escape and Castiel couldn't reach out to the angels. They didn't want to listen to his pleas nor did they care for his own angelic disposition. He was stuck just like everyone else. Stuck and ripped of his duties. What was an angel to do without a purpose?
Castiel didn't frequent bars. He remembered once finding a liquor store in order to absorb all of its contents. It was quite the task at hand but back then things were troublesome and Castiel needed to take the edge off. Perhaps this is what he needed right now. A means to express himself, a small moment where he didn't have to be concerned about his failures.
When Castiel stepped inside the bar of his choosing he wasn't surprised that everyone turned his way. He looked out of place for a dump of a vampire bar. He was dressed in his usual attire of a suit and a trench coat. All Castiel wanted was to sit down somewhere and drink, to just forget about what he was supposed to do since nothing was working for him.
Of course that wasn't going to happen peacefully. The moment Castiel tried to order a drink someone was picking on him, his eyes meeting that of a vampire who wanted the seat the angel was in. Of course Castiel ignored him but before the vampire could get another word in he was being talked to by some brunette. Castiel took notice of her and the scene before him was about to become violent. Well, might as well fix that.
It wasn't hard to reach out and grasp the forehead of the vampire, imbuing its dead corpse with angelic energy that burned him from the inside out. It worked better on demons but vampires were lowly creatures as well. It wasn't hard to smite them with his seraph abilities. Castiel could tell that the woman was inching for a fight that was taken away before it could start.
"You're welcome," the angel said as he turned back in his seat, not even caring that the entire bar was suddenly staring at them all.
