Wands at the ready.
Sirius' hand didn't even shake as he pulled his wand free. He held it steady as he slowly pushed open the door to the bedroom he was in. Merlin, this place was so clean, so sterile compared to his bed space at Hogwarts. There were no discard motorcycle jackets anywhere, no bits of candy, or school books. The rich colors of the Gryffindor dorm all were missing and it made him uncomfortable. Even his bedroom in his childhood home had held more character then this place. He missed the sight of the dark colors, but he'd worry about all of that later. Someone else was in this place with him and he had questions he needed to be answered.
A living space that was just as lonely as the room he had come from.
He had to find Remus.
So far Prongs and Wormtail hadn't chimed in on the weird little device with the fun things called emojis and that worried him. Were they not here with them? The four of them were never separated, always up to no good together, so it felt like two of his limbs were now missing. Not that he'd ever admit how much he relied on the others. They were his family now, but he was honestly the closest to James. The two of them like brothers, spending nights whispering in a bed together while the others slept. His moral compass was tied to James Potter.
He whirled as another door opened to the living space and he raised his wand, ready to hurl a spell when he stopped. Remus. A loud sigh of relief escaped him as he let the wand fall from his fingers. "Moony, you beautiful idiot," he cried as he lunged at his friend. His arms pulled Remus into a hug before the other could say anything and he clapped his back loudly. "I could fecking kiss you I am so bloody happy to see your face."
He pressed a kiss to Moony's temple before releasing his friend. He whirled around to go retrieve his wand and soon ended up on his hands and knees as he looked. Ah, there it was. Under the bloody couch. He growled in annoyance as he stretched his fingers out to snag the stupid thing. "This flat gives me the creeps," he remarked as he shifted into a kneeling position on the floor as he held his wand. "Too clean."
