WHO: Cassie and Adam
WHAT: Talking
WHEN: Sunday Night
WHERE: Adam's apartment
WARNINGS: TBD
Cassie felt nervous. She didn't know what Adam wanted to talk to her about. It could be a number of things. It could be about his non-existing feelings for her. He could be looking for her leadership. She wasn't entirely sure whether or not she wanted to pick up that mantle. Cassie was more interested in exploring her solo magic than she was in managing the circle. Besides she was fairly certain that none of them would want to bind their magic again. It was dangerous last time and that wouldn't change just because they weren't in Chance Harbor. They needed their individual magic to protect themselves from the various threats that faced them in Los Angeles. She wasn't going to take that from anyone.
There was no way to anticipate what to expect so she just took some deep breaths then made her way to Adam's apartment. It was a shame that the apartment she currently resided in had only four rooms; it meant that Jake and Adam had to find another place to live. It also meant that if something came up it would take a little longer for the entire circle to reconvene, but they would do the best they could out of their situation. They were a resourceful bunch.
There were four floors between Cassie and Adam but because she was ignoring him it felt like much more space. For now she would put aside her quest to avoid him and took the elevator to the fifth floor. As the elevator climbed each floor, she took deep breaths and reminded herself that Adam didn't love her, even though she loved him. He might never love her again and she needed to be okay with that. They could be friends and she could support him in everything he did. They couldn't be lovers. Someone would be hurt if they tried to be together.
"It's now or never," she told herself.
Without further hesitation, Cassie knocked on Adam's apartment door. In truth Cassie would rather face her father again than deal with Adam. However, she needed to talk to him. She needed to know what he was hiding from her and why. She didn't appreciate it when people kept secrets from her. It never led to anything good; her mother's secret being the main example she could think of.
