Lissa still couldn't believe what they had told her about becoming the Queen in the future. It was something unimaginable and frankly, a little terrifying. Plus, there was that whole thing where someone had killed their current Queen -- Adrian's aunt. So, she did what she thought was the best thing about that and pushed it out of her mind. It hadn't happened and it wouldn't happen while she was trapped here.
"She does and I like seeing her happy. If I had my way, I'd keep anything from ever causing her to be unhappy or sad. She deserves happiness and good things." She tilted her head as she looked at him. "So do you."
It was no secret that Lissa didn't approve of whatever had happened to cause tension between Adrian and Rose -- and she had a pretty good idea that Rose had broken his heart even though he hadn't told her anything like that. She knew how much it had crushed her when Rose had chosen to go after Dimitri, so she couldn't imagine how Adrian must have felt.
At his question, this one, at least, she was able to nod her head and answer without hesitation. "Yes, I am. I wasn't going to miss Jill's party -- even if you hadn't used some very persuasive arguments to get me to leave my room."
