Finn had been silently stewing for days now. He saw the damage that Angelus had done. He saw how broken Molly had been after everything. The wounds on her neck had started to heal but there would forever be a reminder of what that asshole had done. What fucked with him the most was how they were just letting him get away with it. Giving him one excuse after another. It wasn’t him. He didn’t have his soul. He would never do this if he was himself. He was a fucking vampire. A monster. Someone who went out of his way in order to hurt Molly. To kill Shannon. He didn’t push Molly for the entire story but the jist of it was simple. The girls had gone out to enjoy a night of actual fun. A movie. And it had turned into a real life horror movie that they couldn’t break out of now. It all brought Finn right back to the start. Back to something dark and it was so damn easy to tap into. It wasn’t what he wanted. He fought so hard to stay out of that mindset, but now there was no going back. Once Finn had made sure none of the girls were at Molly’s apartment he snuck inside and raided Molly’s closet for supplies. He filled a bag with everything he could get his hands on from stakes to crosses to holy water and then he was meeting up with Bellamy to go and ge Jasper from rehab. This was probably the most stupid thing any of the three were about to do since being here. Finn and Bellamy had already escaped death by vampire once already and now they were willingly walking into the lion’s den. And what happened if they encountered a vampire that this shit didn’t work on? They would all be dead and it would have all been Finn’s fault. If only Finn was thinking clearly. The cemetery was where they had started. It was where the slayers always came to take them down so why not start there? Finn had passed out the stakes and everytime he took a step you could hear the bottles of holy water clink together in his pocket. His eyes stood ahead of him as they tried to stay as quietly as possible. “So, who’s gonna be bait?” Finn glanced between Jasper and Bellamy, that familiar wicked glint playing in his eyes. “No, volunteers? Fine, I’ll do it. You two let me die and I’m coming back to haunt your asses.” He gave them a final look before leaving them in the shadows and slowly walking by himself. He would have been lying if he said he wasn’t scared. His heart raced because he knew what some monster sinking their fangs into his neck felt like. But he didn’t have to wait long. Finn was rushed from behind by from minutes old vampire, his stake going flying a few feet away as he wrestled to get the upperhand. |
