Cole knew something was going on in the city. People were losing it and he did his best to keep a low profile. It was pretty easy because most people passed him by without looking twice at him. They were too busy looting and breaking things. Cole was numb to the whole situation because he was in the demonic wasteland before this, so although this was chaos, at least he wasn't being hunted. Here, in Los Angeles, he could enjoy a drink or two.
He saw Phoebe's post and thought it was very odd. She wasn't acting like herself. It didn't take a genius to put two and two together. Phoebe lost her soul, just like the rest of the fools in this place that were losing it. Cole didn't think anything bad would happen, but then he remembered how easily she lost her temper when she was queen of the underworld. He loved Phoebe and didn't want anything bad to happen so it was his job to find her. He knew this wouldn't win her over, but she would owe him one if he was successful in convincing her to stay out of trouble.
It wasn't easy to find her at first. She wasn't in her apartment. She wasn't at work so he decided to think about the places she would love to be in this state. A night club. "Of course you would go there," he said out loud to himself, shaking his head as he shimmered away.
Cole went from club to club looking for Phoebe, but no luck. There were a few women that caught his eye, but Cole had to focus. Now wasn't the time to look for a rebound. Now was the time to help, even though he knew Phoebe wouldn't see him differently. It didn't matter what he did to help others, she would always think he was evil.
The next club he shimmered to was busy. There were so many people dancing around, drinking and chatting away. Then he saw her. She was dancing with a couple of guys. Cole had to ignore the feelings of jealously that were growing inside of him because if he didn't he would throw an energy ball at them. Cole wasn't above killing people.
"What are you doing here, Phoebe?" he asked the minute he walked over to where they were. He didn't want to be a party-pooper but he needed to get Phoebe out of here before something bad happened.
