WHO: Xavin & Karolina WHAT: Morning breakfast WHEN: Morning after Dawn & Xavin investigated the vampire bar WHERE: Apartment Lobby to a diner for breakfast WARNINGS: None that I know of STATUS: In Progress
Xavin and Dawn had been out late and Xavin had fallen asleep there. Karolina had requested to meet that evening but Xavin had already made plans with Dawn and didn't think it would be fair to cancel on Dawn for Karolina. That was a very confusing process for Xavin to experience but she felt she handled it with ease. This time. She had quietly slipped out of Dawn's bed and returned to her apartment to ready herself for the meeting with Karolina for breakfast they had agreed on. Once Xavin had readied herself, she headed down to the lobby to wait for Karolina. It seemed they were fated to meet in the lobby but Xavin didn't mind, it was Karolina. She wore a smile on her face all the way down the hall and as she stood in front of a large Christmas tree in the lobby.
"There are so many more ornaments on this tree than mine and I have no ribbon running down it." Xavin mumbled to herself as she took in the tree with more scrutiny. This was something very much new for her and she had little experience when it came to what was right and wrong with these human holidays. The apartment smelled delicious though, she supposed, as she gave up on trying to measure her tree to the one that stood in front of her. She tugged her warm jacket collar up around her neck a little more as she turned and saw the elevator open with Karolina in it.
"Good morning, Karolina." She smiled at her as she approached and she refrained from hugging her just yet. It might be best to take Karolina's lead on the showing of affection so Xavin didn't overwhelm her too terribly much. Xavin had fought battles and dealt with giving herself up to save Karolina, it took every ounce of her willpower to contain her feelings for her betrothed. They headed out into the cold, snowy morning and started toward a coffee shop that Karolina had picked out for them. They spoke of random, unimportant things along the way just like anyone else on the street would. She wondered more and more as they walked what this meeting was about and what she wanted to know.
"Are you ready for Christmas?" Xavin waited to start the conversation after they had been seated at the diner and the waitress had brought them hot coffee. She shrugged out of her jacket and set it beside her in the booth as she wrapped her hands around the warm coffee mug in front of her. Karolina was across from her and Xavin could practically see all the things racing through her mind to ask, to see if she could get answers on. That was still a prospect Xavin was taking step by step so as not to reveal too much but to give her enough to feel settled. "You said you had to know the truth, I am guessing you have more questions about yourself?"
