Who: Rodolphus Lestrange and Severus Snape What: Fluff and talk about Death Eater life Where: House #3, Rodolphus’ bedroom When: Thursday, March 22 Rating: Possibly high, will update
Rodolphus couldn’t remember the last time he’d spent so much time in bed, but considering the new love of his life—well, maybe trying to set a new record wasn’t such a bad thing. There was something very peaceful about spending the morning or afternoon or evening (or all three, he wasn’t picky) in bed with Severus. Even if they were doing something as simple as lying there and talking. Or snogging. Or cuddling.
It was quite a revelation, to be involved with someone that wasn’t so … prickly. Severus had his own quirks, as Rod was quickly learning, but he wasn’t on the level of Bellatrix. It was refreshing, in a way, to not have to worry and consider every action she made. He still thought about them, of course—old habits died hard—but he didn’t feel the all-consuming, all-loving need to protect her quite as much as he had. Jealousy played into that somewhat, but he was also happy she had someone she liked—it was all very complicated and difficult to digest.
Spending time with Severus was much easier, and happily, Severus wanted to spend as much time with Rodolphus as Rodolphus wanted to spend with him. Now that they were together, it was hard to believe he’d ever doubted the boy, or had wondered what use a halfblood might be to the Dark Lord’s cause. Severus’ skills with collecting ingredients and brewing potions was a wonder to behold, a wonder Rod had enjoyed watching very much in the past few days.
“Did you know me, in your time?” he asked suddenly, prompted by remembering the past. With some of the Dark Lord’s other trusted followers, Rod had visited Hogsmeade fairly often, recruiting some of the younger, promising students on the cusp of leaving Hogwarts.
