She laughed at that. Most certainly it was less complicated. But Lillie didn't need to talk about the weather. It was as it was, and talking about it could not change it. However, there were things she could learn from the Templar seated across from her, however complicated those conversations might be.
Pausing to sip her tea she sighed. "Well it's certainly been fair since we've been here. But Val Royeaux has much more interesting going's on than the weather," she added, arching a brow at him across the table. "I've never been here before. Tell me, is this normal? Templars patrolling the streets?" She frowned. "I'm just a civilian, but even I have heard rumors enough. Something is happening in the Chantry, isn't it, Ser Rhone?"
It was perhaps a bold conversation to have, but Lillie's tone was light and conversational. This time of morning so few others were around. And well, gossip if overheard was hardly unexpected. A curious tourist was harmless enough. And tongues wagged plenty among the Orlesian citizens.
