The Knight Lieutenant listened, deciphering what was said, mostly confirming, or stating the confirmation of rumors without providing much evidence towards it. The Grand Cleric wanted him to use his good judgement, and he had been sent with Ingrid. Those icy blues slipped over the woman who was now worrying a spot in her uniform, possibly nervous and uneasy about the current subject. A subject which they'd all been over, more or less.
Then there was Rhone, who was positioning himself behind Urban - that was fine, Urban had no issue with becoming the vanguard in these allegations. But it seemed like none of his people wanted to face this challenge head on. It was obviously going to hurt, hurt more than bloodmagic. Either there was something wrong with the Chantry, or a lot of people were conspiring to make the Chantry look intentionally bad. And the best defense Ferelden would conjure was a Knight Lieutenant, two borrowed Templars, and a Mage.
Then Rhone spoke up, and took the position of defending the Chantry by attacking the Wardens. He did not change out his stony face as Rhone spoke, though he wasn't sure he would have ventured into attempting to make this conversation about the usefulness of the Wardens years after the blight and likely an age before the next. Lee's question only further crystallized his own on the matter.
"We are not here to discuss the apparently mutable nature of decades old treaties. I've heard the rumors, but that's all I've heard. Do you have more physical evidence, something that concretely points to illegality? Notes, first hand knowledge? I hope you are not about to tell me that you tricked Grand Cleric Maer Penrose into sending us here just to debate politics beyond our station...
"And even if you could prove these claims true, that the Chantry has stepped beyond the confines of being for the benefit of spreading the will and glory of Andraste and into militarism - what do you think we could do about it?"
