Lorius filled a bowel, passed it to Kore, then filled another which he kept himself. He settled on the floor near the open front door, glad to get away from some of the heat of the fireplace. It was a cool morning, but he knew after a minute or so it wouldn't feel nearly as bad. Outside smelled like smoke and dirt - not terribly different from inside, but not as claustraphobic and there was a lack of the salty blood after-smell this morning, which was good.
Lorius was made of somewhat sterner stuff than Kore when it came to their youngest sibling. Just because Amele wanted something didn't mean she'd get it from Lorius. If she asked Kore it was a different matter.
Lorius blew on his food to cool it a bit more, before replying. "I ... think it'll depend on how today's work goes, I think. Good or bad." There were some homes Lorius was alright with taking Amele to, places he wouldn't worry about keeping an eye on her all the time while he worked. On the other hand... if he wasn't getting any work today, he could take Amele almost anywhere since she'd have his undivided attention the entire time.
