Thread: Definition of Slavery Who: Kore Asena and Lillian Tharelle Where: On the Road When: 8 Solis, 9:45 Rating: E (Possible T) Summary: Lillie wants to know some things about Kore. Mostly she has questions about slavery and how Ariadne treats her, and her own beliefs on the subject color her viewpoint.
It was hard not to notice an elven slave. Especially for Lillie, given how aware she was of the treatment of elves. Perhaps she was hyperaware. Because of her mother, and moreso now because of Tamrith. Because she’d grown up in an Alienage and she’d seen the way nobles treated elves when they didn’t own them, just acted as if they did.
But in any case it had been impossible not to notice Kore and Ariadne, they pair they made. Perhaps they talked like girlfriends, heads bent close together and faces smiling. But it didn’t seem to go unnoticed that Kore belonged to Ariadne. She always looked to her for permission, and followed after her like a shadow. It wasn’t just best friends… it was master and slave.
Lillie couldn’t help but be bothered by it.
And so, when Ariadne was talking to one of the Wardens in the group during their journey, Lillie took it upon herself to approach the young elven woman. Lillie herself was wearing one of her lighter traveling dresses, made of pale yellow cotton. It had pockets in the front, and Lillie dipped her hands into them, fingers closing over the smooth round surface of a locket. She caught her lower lip between her teeth and worried it a moment, before clearing her throat and smiling at the girl.
“Hello,” she said softly. “My name is Lillie. I thought I’d introduce myself to you.”
