"Ah I see. You were once one of those very urchins." She smiled. "And yet look how you have turned your life around now. I think that means there is more hope for some of them then you realize." She smiled at him gently. "A problematic child is often so because he is hurting. Finding yourself in the Chantry's orphanage, suddenly without a mother. No one could blame you for striking out." She was quiet a moment and then looked at him. "You might enjoy taking some time to visit the orphanage we run here. It might help of them, to see what they can make of their life. It might also help you to realize that you were certainly not the first child to slap away a hand offered in kindness."
She sat back, her hands clasped in her lap when he spoke of his father. And though that in itself was a surprise, no hint of that fell over her features. She smoothed her hands over her skirts and nodded slowly. "It was a brave thing to turn to the Chantry in such a case. For there are plenty who would have turned away from it out of some sense of familial responsibility. That simply because the person in question is family that being what they are does not make them evil. A foolish opinion." She smiled. "I am glad the Chantry's teachings stuck with you. I am also glad you found your calling within it's walls, so to speak."
She stood slowly from her chair. "The Chantry will be providing you provisions for your journey with the Wardens, which you may get on your way out. I do ask you come and see me once you return from your mission. May the Maker watch over you and keep you safe, Ser Rhone."
