Conlan eyed Seda with a slight suspicion, he doubted she hadn't had anything of note happen, but didn't want to push it.
He reached down and scooped up some food of the plate and popped it into his mouth. He figured he was at the tail end of that whole "Grey Wardens end up starving" thing, at least he hoped he was.
When he looked back at her, she was grinning like some kind of predator about to attack, which made him feel... something, he wasn't sure what. He cleared his throat.
"Sorry, I'm rank and file, they don't let me know ahead of time where I'll be off to. It's actually a lot like mercenary work." Con took a sip of his drink and then frowned at the cup, which had now emptied.
"I'm sure we'll be marching off to the deep roads, or to warn some group of elves or dwarves or something. If you're worried I can ask the boss to have you on my team when we go."
