Monday, October 23, 2017 - Alesmith Aleworks Brewery
WHO: Sal Perksmoore-Staunton and Kit Ghezzi (featuring sickly Ben McMullen)
WHAT: Sal drags Kit to the Alesmith Aleworks for a little D/L Investigating (but not before Ben tricks her into a nap)
WHERE: Salem Auror Offices, Salem Auror House, Alesmith Aleworks Brewery
WHEN: Monday, October 23, 1:00 PM
WHY: Because there are leads to follow, and Sal is impatient. (and evidently sleepy)
RATING: PG-13
STATUS: Complete
Sal’s patience at waiting to see any kind of results to the warrant request she’d put in earlier had lasted her all the way through lunch- at a cute little place nearby called Abigail’s, as suggested by someone from the local office- and a few minutes spent puttering the borrowed offices and trying to stay out of the way in general. What she really needed was a distraction. A Brewery distraction.
She surreptitiously checked around the office to see if anyone appeared to be free, but they all seemed to be busy with stuff of their own. As tempted as she was to go check the place out on her own, Sal had made a promise to Miles. She was practically pouting behind her temporary desk when she suddenly realized that she hadn’t seen Kit or Ben around. A sneaking suspicion made her take her phone out to pull up- yup, there was Ben’s Golem (and avatar) guarding a gym just a couple of blocks away from the Auror house. She bit her lip to keep from snorting aloud. For whatever reason- probably because she didn’t get a chance to sign in that often- she’d forgotten Ben was Instinct.
Deciding to hedge her bets, she Apparated to the house and made her way inside. “Anyone home? Everyone decent?” she called out. She heard a low, sleepy grunt that she identified as ET’s coming from a closed door down the hall. “Sorry,” she whispered as she tip-toed past his door, making her way to Ben’s door and knocking quietly. “Hello?”
