Well this marks the one year anniversary of me being here. Can't believe I almost missed it. Oh well I'd like to dedicate this speech to that guy who got me on the networks. I heard me moved out, good luck to him I never even got his name.

Anyway, jokes aside, I know a bunch of us showed up around the same time. Should we throw some party? It's like some kind of twisted birthday.

I think morbid celebrations are funny. Besides, first why not? Secondly if we do a barbeque it's basically free food. All I have to do is bring the ice. Which is easy.

Barbeque would be fun. Everyone loves a feast. It's almost June, Aqueous, I'd say so. But the air conditioning units they have here make it sort of hard to tell.

Yeah, I guess... I don't know. It's not just Catcher. I mean, that's part of it, but like... okay, so we all show up here alone, right? All our family and friends get left behind and we're here. And we don't know anyone and we can't go home and we're stuck. And we make friends, you know? And that's good! Except when it's not, really. Because sometimes people leave. And like, Harmony was here, and now she's not. And Lock was here, and now he's not. And Catcher's in trouble and we can't even help him out, and it's like... everything just kinda sucks.

I understand. Really I do. I spend a lot of time at night wondering what I'll do if Rin ends up going back too. Recently I went home and now I'm back. I was depressed for months back there, I missed all of you guys. It's unfortunately something that happens, but just know you're not alone in the sentiment. Sorry I'm not very good with these kinds of things. I never really know what to say. If you'd like I can just sit with you while you feel the things you need to feel.

Right? And now we're all just stuck in this place where it's like, if we stay here, we miss people from home. I miss Harmony, and my niece, and my brother. But, if we do go home, we miss people from here, and they miss us too. There's no winning this situation and I hate it. And like, I just... I've always kinda believed that we meet people that we are meant to be with, you know? And not just like, romantically, but like, friends, and family, and all of that. Like you and Rin! And I can't believe that we were supposed to meet up here if we were just gonna get torn apart again. I just... I refuse.

He sat me down once and told me life is a lot like waves. Somedays you splash around and play in them and other days they completely engulf you and you're left barely hanging on or your washed away. No matter what you do or how you try to tackle those waves head on they always just tear you off your feet.

People are the same way. We all come and go, whether they come as a small wave you just dip your toes in and say hello or the biggest wave you've ever seen. One where after it crashes you're left lying flat on your back with no hope of ever standing up again. You can get up again and you can stand there, yelling at the sea about why those waves are leaving when you were supposed to meet them for a reason. Maybe they left too soon, maybe that one wave left and never came back. The thing is that at the end of the day they'll still be waves, and they'll always come and go no matter what you do or what you say. That's not a bad thing. The ebb and flow of life is never a bad thing. I know you miss Harmony and your family and I probably sound insane sitting here talking about waves, but you were meant to be meet them if that's what you hold onto. You were meant to know those waves, to feel them pass over our feet and to experience the power of their crashing. Even if in the end they will went back out to sea. Just because they returned to the ocean doesn't mean you'll never see them again.

The thing is, waves come back. Sure they don't always come back in that same strong tidal wave that they once were. The tidal will go out, and that person will leave you, but small waves will take their place. Little waves of memories or maybe it's something that reminds you of them, and those tiny waves will feel so cold that they're like glass against your feet. Eventually your feet will grow used to that temperature. They'll grow used to the feeling of them passing over your feet.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, even if the person themselves isn't there with you, you'll never loose who they were. Where I'm from we have a belief that everyone and everything is a part of everyone and everything else. So even if I go home or you go home, this moment, what I'm saying here will remain a part of you. You'll remember my stupid wave metaphor one day when you're feeling down like this again. Sure it'll remind you of me and it'll hurt, because you're back home and not here. But it'll also hopefully remind you of other things. Like the time I froze my hand in this cooler, or the way I sat here with you and providing my company. You're not alone in those waves, you never were and you never will be. If I can help you up out of the sand this time then I'll be glad to do it.

No. My internal temperature has gotten even colder now too. I can't draw it in as easily anymore either, mainly because there's more of it. It's more like I have more power and less control if I'm being honest. It's not like I've been training for years.
