Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Character(s): Rebekah Mikaelson & open
Rating: TBD
Cautions/Warnings: Expected language
Location: Beach
Approximate Date: Rebekah's arrival date
Status: Open!

Rebekah had a rather short to do list following her de-staking at the hands of Elijah. Unsurprisingly, killing that doppelgänger bitch was quite high up on it, but perhaps not quite as obvious to everyone (it had certainly surprised Elijah) was the number one on that list: Find Niklaus, wherever he had wound up this time. It was that item on her to-do list that had lead to her sitting on a dingy boat surrounded by awful humans. She sighed and eyed her nails as she waited for the storm to pass. She hadn't expected the storm to get worse, though, and when she was knocked out of the boat she let out an angry screech. She last thing she remembered was hitting her head on a rock. At least, she assumed that was what happened when she blacked out shortly after being thrown into the cold waters.

The next thing that Rebekah remembered was sand. More specifically, sand in her hair, between her fingers, up her nose, and in every other place that she could imagine. With a lot of spluttering and flapping at her face and ears, she glared and stared around the empty beach with fury. She didn't know who was responsible, but someone was going to pay. She made a dash for the tree line, only to feel sluggish and achingly slow as she moved. Still much faster than a regular human, Rebekah was devastated as she realised that something was dampening her abilities. With a frustrated, muffled scream that she kept quiet with a hand over her mouth, she started to storm through the trees for someone on this stupid island. She was starving, and there had to be someone around here that she could play with.

Eric was in the woods hunting when he heard something. He moved cautiously toward the sound, probably a vilager or new arrival. When he saw the woman his gut clenched. It had been over 900 years since he'd seen her but she, like Niklaus, hadn't changed.

He moved into a clearing, showing himself. 'Godkväll, Rebekah,' he greeted. Continuing in Swedish, he commented, 'It's been a long time.'

Rebekah was making a lot of noise, and she didn't care one bit. She was determined to find someone and demand to know what the hell was going on, and until she got her answer she wasn't going to calm down. She heard Eric before she saw him, and her head snapped to look in his direction just in time to see him walk out into the open.

"Eric, darling," she drawled, eyebrows raised as she rest her hands on her hips, before switching to Swedish to match the other vampire, "A long time indeed. What are you doing in a place like this?"

'I wasn't given much choice in the matter, actually. Nor, I suspect, were you. Your mongrel brother is here, as well,' he said. 'There's an interesting variety of people here. Thus far he's the only mutt, though.'

He put his hands in his pockets and watched her. 'What have you been up to this past...near-millenium,' he asked, politely.

"Nik is here?" Rebekah seemed visibly happier to hear the news of her brother's presence on the island too. She had been looking for him, after all. At least she had gotten that one right. She was going to be very mad at him when she found him, for a variety of reasons, but that didn't change the fact that he was her brother. With a smile that almost crossed to that of a predatory smirk, she walked over to Eric and brushed her hair back over her shoulder.

"Oh, you know. Been here and there. Fed, drank and made merry." She had switched back to English by this point, not patient enough to keep it up solely for Eric's benefit, "How about you, sweetie, still Mister Moral high ground?"

'Yes, Niklaus is here,' he responded. 'Lucky me.' he added drily. When Rebekah approached, he took a step back, his eyes narrowed. He continued speaking in Swedish, for no real reason other than he could.

'I've never been Mister Moral high ground,' he said. 'I simply don't like mangey mongrels. Since a pack of them slaughtered my family, I don't think I'd be expected to like them. And half-breeds count as mutts.' His tone was clipped, his words terse.

"Lucky all of us, it's like one lovely little reunion," Rebekah grinned nice and wide as she noticed Eric's step backwards, and took one in to match his. With an affected pout on her face, she cocked her head slightly to the side. "What's the matter, sweetheart? Nine hundred years have passed and I don't even get a hello kiss?"

She visibly tensed a little as Eric blatantly slung insults at her brother. Yes, she was angry at him, and the reunion surely wasn't going to be totally pretty when she found him, but that didn't mean that she was okay with hearing the man that was once one of her brother's closest friends sling insults at him like that. She gritted her teeth slightly before walking closer to him and, back in Swedish and with a dangerously sweet voice, she said, "I'd watch your tongue, Eric. This island may have me slow but I'm still faster than you, and I'm very good at pain."

Eric folded his arms over his chest. 'No, you definitely do not.' He was untouched by the pout or her tone. He'd had a lot of practice with pouty women and had had 900 years since he'd last seen Rebekah to become immune to the pouts. He opted not to mention Sookie at this point. He wanted to talk to her before Rebekah could get near her. Oh what a clusterfuck that could be.

He smirked at her reaction to his description of Niklaus. 'What, don't like the truth, doll? You were never faster than me, little girl--except when it came to getting naked. I'm also good at pain--giving and taking it. And I'm not intimidated by spoilt little girls who're still loyal to the man who put them in a casket for nearly a millenium. So if you're theratening me, don't. Because it doesn't work. I've had older and smarter vampires than you--and your brother--try.'

'Oh, and what's this about you claiming to be the original family from which all vampires are descended?' Damon had filled him in on that and was utterly confused when Eric had laughed long and loud at that. 'Because my maker was over 2000 years old when he died. I know another vampire who is nearly 3000 years old.' Okay, Russel was closer to 2800, but when you were THAT old, rounding up 200 years was nothing.
