George dozed lightly beside him for a while. He enjoyed lying like this, feeling another person's skin against his. But he must move eventually,to return to Agnes. He eased out of the bed carefully, so as not to disturb Edward. He pulled the covers over the man's sleeping form, and began gathering his things. He left his jacket, and Edward's new trousers on a chair. He paused when he saw the bear on the floor, bending down to pick it up.
He should probably feel guilty for what had happened, given how instinctively he curled around the bear when George placed it in his arm. It reminded him of Hector, and his own little Edward back at home. And that wasn't a thought one should have after sharing someone's bed. But Edward was a grown man, and clearly had trouble fitting in to the society he lived in. George could definitely relate to that. How could he not have shown him how wonderful this could be? He smiled fondly at him one last time, before quietly leaving the room.
