Mary raised an eyebrow. "You both do, if even half the stories are true," she said.
The kettle clicked, indicating it was boiled, and she turned to it. "Now. Tea. You must warm the teapot first." She poured some water into the pot and gave it a swirl before emptying it in the sink. She clicked the kettle on again once she was done. "And then reboil the water because it must be hot when you add it to the tea. One spoon per cup, and one extra for the pot." She carefully spooned the tea into the teapot, and as soon as the kettle boiled again, she poured the water on top of them. She gave it a stir.
"And then you allow it some time to brew. Shall we take a seat?" she suggested, nodding over to the table.
