Anya was exploring alone on the ship. She was glad to have met George and he had been kind enough to show her around a little but she found herself curious and she did not wish to bother him.
She was missing her Grandmama and Dimitri. She didn't want to miss Dimitri. She didn't want to have feelings for the con man, but she couldn't stop thinking about him and missing him. It annoyed her that she felt this way. She didn't want to be in love with him but she did.
She walked and walked until she was too tired to walk anymore and she sat down on the floor in one of the corridors. "Ouch," she said, sitting up and realising she was sitting on the small bag she had brought with her. She sat up and removed it from under her, feeling the weight of the small music box contained in the bag. She slipped it out, along with the necklace and inserted the piece of the necklace into the the box and the music started to play.
"On the wind, across the sea, hear this song and remember. Soon you'll be, home with me, once upon a December," she sang sweetly. "Oh Dimitri," she said, burying her head in her knees and starting to weep. What if she never saw him again?
