The Doctor was at the central console, working away. He whizzed from panel to panel, making adjustments here and there before setting at one part of the controls. There, he pulled out the little screen and started adding calculations, running programmes, crossing them over, connecting them up, setting things. Tests, scans, everything he could think up. In fact, he hadn't even noticed Seeker's arrival. He was far too distracted, plunged in a realm of numbers and theory.
"It's all right, girl, there's nothing to worry about" he said to the TARDIS as he worked away. "I won't let anything happen to you"
