"Yeah," he said, as quietly as he could manage. "She sleeping, then?" That was good. She seemed to have inherited a bit of his nature; she didn't sleep as much as he'd heard human babies did. That wasn't much of a problem; he was almost always awake himself. But there was a lot of things for him to do, these days, and he couldn't spend as much time with his daughter as he'd like.
