Phryne just looked at him like he had two heads. But he was probably used to that. Clearly he'd told this little speech to people fairly often. "Space ship, in the wrong universe? You're totally kidding right?" Except maybe he wasn't, because clearly she'd gone somewhere. Her eyebrows furrowed a bit. "Though I guess that explains the way you're.. dressed."
Though she was dressed a bit outlandishly, that was just her. "A crime? Oh well as a matter of fact, there was." It was odd, to go switching topics like that, but well. She could figure things out in the end. "I was summoned to the theater, watching a production of Ruddigore because someone said that they saw an apparition of a young woman, who then disappeared and left behind a note. The note said one of those obvious, 'you're going to pay' things."
She had to think for just a moment. "The apparent ghost was of a woman who died several years ago by apparent suicide. So then I watched the show, and the man that got the note keeled over on stage. That's when things really got interesting."
