Mary sighed again. "I'm beginning to think it's the latter." A small part of her was also beginning to wonder if they'd ever get home. Still, she had Matthew now, and Anna. And Anna had Bates. If they were stuck here indefinitely, then at least they could find some happiness.
"Yes, please," she said, moving to the dresser. She had become much more independent here - making tea and even some food for herself. And she could manage very well dressing without the corset and so on. But she did still rely on Anna to do her hair. She would have no idea where to start with all the pins, and there was such a lot of it that she was certain she'd never get it to stay up. More than that, she liked having Anna do her hair.
