Mary hadn't planned to linger long over the tea and refreshments set out for after the ceremony, but even then she found it hard to remain sipping tea for very long when there were much more interesting things she could be doing. And to think, had they married at home they would have had a whole day of that, with every one of their relatives and dreary neighbours wishing to congratulate them.
As it was, less than two hours after the Vicar had declared Matthew Reginald Crawley and Lady Mary Josephine Crawley man and wife, they were making their way through the corridors to Matthew's room.
No. Their room. She couldn't help but smile wider at that thought.
