There were giant snakes and yetis outside and apparently not much more, and the TARDIS was too damaged to go anywhere yet. She could hunt down some of the Doctors working on the repairs and offer her help, but it wasn't likely to be all that material with so many other people already helping--and so many Doctors as well. Failing the straightforward approach, her only method to offer help was, she supposed, the domestic approach. Not that she'd call it that where her first Doctor could hear it. Maybe it was a moral booster, something to distract all the restless people used to the ship constantly moving...or maybe it's just a distraction for herself. The heady buzz of adventure's already faded, and now she was sitting alone in the TARDIS again, because everyone was too busy with someone else to bother with the spare from the past.
...Alright maybe that was a little harsh, but she couldn't help what her mind supplied, could she?
It still wasn't normal for her to just sit around in the TARDIS and do nothing. They always did something. For two years it'd been she and the Doctor, running non-stop from one adventure to the next. The only times they'd stop would be to repair and relax--together, not separate--or to visit her mother, with all due complaining. Her mother who was now on this ship...married to her dead-alternate father, with a brand new son, and freaked out by her.
So maybe the marshmallows were to make her feel better, and find an excuse to pry the Doctor out of other-her's grip for a bit. But they'd be delicious, and they'd be fun, if she could just find a cookbook that gave instructions she could actually follow.
