Courfeyrac curled himself around Jehan tightly, burying his head in his husband's neck. Today was going to be a very strange day, and a difficult one even though he had begun it in the best way.
"I don't want to let you go today," he murmured against Jehan's skin.
--
Jehan wrapped his arms tightly around Courfeyrac. "Then it is a very good thing that you don't have to. We can stay like this as long as you wish."
--
He clung to his husband tightly. "Good. You can't ever be far away from me today." Jehan had been too far away. They hadn't been able to help him.
He nuzzled his cheek. "Though maybe we should get the others too. I want to be close to all of them today..."
--
Jehan gave Courfeyrac's waist a squeeze. "We can do that. We should be together. It is what is right and fitting."
--
He nodded, kissing Jehan softly. "I am so grateful to have this time with you. I treasure every second."
--
Jehan smiled warmly. "And I am not going anywhere. We will be old and grey together."
--
Courfeyrac grinned. "Yes. You'll look beautiful old and grey. I hope I go as bald as -" he swallowed. "Bossuet." He closed his eyes for a second.
"We need to get the others. We have to remember our friends." He kissed jehan and moved away, climbing out of bed and reaching for his clothes.
--
Jehan nodded his head and watched Courfeyrac get dressed for a moment before he climbed out of bed and started to dress himself.
--
Courfeyrac kissed him again when they were both dressed. He nuzzled his cheek. "Combeferre first," he said.
He took Jehan's hand and led him out to the door to Combeferre and penny's room. He knocked on the door. "Combeferre?"
Combeferre and penny were awake, and he was cuddling her as tightly as Courfeyrac had been holding jehan moments before. He looked at penny. "Can he come in?" He asked. He did want to see his friend.
--
Jehan followed Courfeyrac to Combeferre and Penny's room.
Penny smiled softly and nodded her head. "Yes, of course," she said.
--
Courfeyrac opened the door when he heard penny agree and hurried inside. Combeferre sat up slightly and held out a hand to him. "Courfeyrac, jehan..."
Courfeyrac hurried over, hugging Combeferre with one arm while still holding Jehan's hand with the other. "Are you okay?"
Combeferre nodded. "Yes. As well as can be expected."
--
Jehan leaned in close to his husband, wanting to be close to the other man too.
Penny ran her hand through Courfeyrac's hair and snuggled in close to Combeferre.
--
Courfeyrac gave a happy sound. "We want to do this all day. Can we get into your bed?"
Combeferre glanced at penny. "Give us a moment to dress then maybe..."
"Oh no. Wait. We need Enjolras and Grantaire and Marius too. Bring your blankets to the living room! I'll go get them to put on clothes as well."
Combeferre smiled. "That's a wonderful idea. See you out there soon."
Courfeyrac grinned and hurried out of the room, tugging Jehan behind him.
He knocked on the other door. "Enjolras? Grantaire? Are you decent?"
--
Enjolras was on top of Grantaire, thrusting slowly and deeply inside him. He was too wrapped up in the moment to hear Courfeyrac. He lowered his head to kiss Grantaire deeply.
--
Grantaire could hear him, distantly, but all he could do in response was give a muffled moan against Enjolras' lips.
Courfeyrac grinned. "Okay but when you're finished we need you out here!" He grinned at Jehan. "How sweet."
--
Enjolras stroked Grantaire slowly as he moved inside the other man, mouth moving to kiss along Grantaire's neck. "Did someone say something?" He asked, voice breathy.
Jehan smiled. "They are a very sweet couple."
--
Grantaire gasped. "Fuck. Yes. Maybe? Don't care just don't stop..." He arched up into Enjolras' thrusts eagerly.
--
Enjolras grinned and started to move harder and deeper inside Grantaire, groaning loudly as he did. "Oh, fuck."
--
"Love you I love you so much. God Enjolras. So close..." Grantaire gripped Enjolras' sides desperately as he came closer and closer.
--
Enjolras's thrusts became more erratic as he grew closer to the edge himself. "Love you, too. So much. Fuck, fuck, fuck, Grantaire."
--
Grantaire tossed his head back and came hard, groaning loudly. His fingertips left bruises on Enjolras skin as he clung to him.
--
Enjolras followed him over the edge, crying out loudly as he came hard inside Grantaire.
--
Grantaire tugged him down, holding him closely as he caught his breath.
"Mm. Love you," he again breathlessly.
--repeated, breathlessly.
--
Enjolras pulled out of Grantaire and snuggled close to him.
“I love you, too,” he murmured.
--
Courfeyrac knocked on the door after a moment or two. “Hey, come out and bring your blankets and pillows and … stuff. Please?”
Grantaire lifted his head. “Oh, it was Courfeyrac.” He slid his hand through Enjolras’ hair. “Should we? I would like to see the others…”
--
Enjolras nuzzled against Grantaire’s cheek. “Yes, I think we should. But… you will stay near me? I want to be close to you today.”
--
Grantaire nodded. “Of course I will.” He kissed Enjolras softly. “We all will.”
He lifted his head. “On our way, Courfeyrac.” He shifted slightly. “Come on, we’ll clean up quickly and get dressed and go lie in a big pile on the floor with our friends.”
--
Enjolras nodded his head and climbed off the bed. He made his way into the bathroom and turned on the shower.
--
Grantaire followed him, grinning as he did.
Courfeyrac sighed. “Well, they’ll be another half an hour…” He grinned. “We should take all the cushions from the couches and move the furniture out of the way…”
--
Jehan chuckled at his husband. “Yes, lets do that,” he said, starting to take the cushions off the couch.
--
Grantaire and Enjolras actually emerged about fifteen minutes later, hair damp and wearing pyjama bottoms. Grantaire paused in the door and watched Courfeyrac and Combeferre lifting the couch, which was stripped of all the cushions.
His brow furrowed. “Um… are we doing this again…?” he asked lightly.
--
Enjolras followed Grantaire and watched Courfeyrac and Combeferre move the couch. He wasn’t quite sure what to feel during these days. “Do you need some help?” he asked.
--
Courfeyrac shook his head. “No, we’re going to lie there, all of us, and we’re going to cuddle.”
Combeferre nodded to Courfeyrac when they moved the couch to the right place. They set it down. Grantaire moved over with their blankets and lay them down. “This looks… very nice.” He grinned and sat down, patting the space beside him and smiling up at Enjolras.”
--
Jehan moved to kiss Courfeyrac’s cheek when he set the couch down.
Enjolras sat down beside Grantaire and curled in against him, not saying anything. Seeing his friend just made him think of how much they had given up for his cause. And it was now that the words Grantaire had spoken to him when they had been fighting decided to resurface. He had let them all to their death. He was the reason that they needed to have this day of cuddling.
--
Grantaire wrapped his arm around Enjolras, holding him close and kissing the top of his head gently.
Courfeyrac kissed Jehan then tugged him over to join the others. Combeferre held his hand out to Penny, smiling slightly.
--
Enjolras buried his head in Grantaire’s shoulder, frowning and feeling… wrong for being part of this. This was his fault and… he didn’t deserve to be comforted as the others did.
Jehan took a seat beside Courfeyrac and sprawled his limbs over his husband.
Penny curled into Combeferre’s lap and kissed his cheek.
--
Grantaire stroked Enjolras’ hair. “Shh,” he murmured. “Courfeyrac, come here.”
Courfeyrac wrapped an arm tightly around Enjolras, leaning against him while one hand stroked Jehan’s thigh lightly.
Combeferre looked over at Enjolras. “I would join them if there was any space left,” he said with a slight smile.
--
Enjolras’ eyes welled with tears and his body started to shake. “I am so truly sorry you all…. And because of me. I led you to this.” And it hadn’t worked. It hadn’t really changed anything. His friends had died for nothing.
-- Combeferre shook his head. “We followed you willingly. We believed in what you stood for. You made it very clear what we were getting into.”
Courfeyrac nodded. “Yes. And we’d do it again. Because it was right.”
Grantaire held him close, not sure how he could reassure Enjolras on this.
--
Enjolras loved his friends, so much but he still felt…. guilty for being the reason they had all died. He buried his head in Grantaire’s neck and clung to his husband tightly. He hadn’t accomplished anything. He had wanted things to change and they hadn’t. They had all died for nothing. “I failed you all.”
--
“No you didn’t,” Courfeyrac said. “You failed no one, Enjolras.” He kissed his friend’s forehead chastely.
Combeferre nodded. “Everyone was at that barricade because we believed it was necessary. No one regrets it. We are very happy to have this second chance,” he said, squeezing Penny’s side almost absently, “but if I had to make that choice again I would be there, by your side. Because it needed to be done.”
--
Enjolras managed a smile through his tears. “You are all truly the best friends I could ask for. I love you all, so dearly and I am blessed and privileged to count have you as my friends. You are all truly wonderful people.”
--
Courfeyrac was crying too, and he swallowed as he held Enjolras closer. “As are we. We love you. All of us.”
Grantaire nodded. “Yes, we do.” He kissed Enjolras’ cheek softly.
Combeferre reached out to rub Enjolras’ arm gently. “More than we can ever say.”
--
Enjolras stilled. "You are all the most courageous and wonderful men that I will ever know." He sniffled and clung to Grantaire a little tighter.
"I do not regret giving up my life for this cause but I am so glad to have this chance again. To know love and happiness."
--
Combeferre nodded, moving closer and leaning against Enjolras around the other two men. He tugged gently on Penny's arm for her to follow him. "Exactly. That is how we all feel."
Courfeyrac nodded. "It is." He looked up. "Lie across me, Penny. I don't mind."
--
Enjolras was so glad to have them all in his life. He kissed Grantaire's neck, trying to tell him he loved him without saying it.
Penny blinked. "Are you.... Sure?"
Jehan moved closer to Courfeyrac.
--
Grantaire kissed his cheek in return, nuzzling closer.
Courfeyrac nodded. "Yes. If you want. Come closer to us all. We want you here too, if it isn't too strange for you."
Combeferre kissed her forehead. "Yes. If it's too strange you don't have to."
--
Penny moved in closer to them, laying slightly over Courfeyrac. "No, I want to be here."
--
Combeferre smiled and kissed her softly. "Thank you." He wanted to feel close to her today. He was so grateful to have the chance to have her in his life.
Grantaire stroked Enjolras' hair. "I think you count as a member of Les Amis de L'ABC by now, Penny," he said with a smile. "They would have loved you at their meetings."
--
Enjolras nodded his head. "Yes, certainly. You would have been very welcome. Tracy, also."
Penny smiled. "I would have been honoured to be there."
--
"You should start meetings again. Not that you can do much on the ship but .. You could talk about things, get lots of different perspectives," Grantaire said.
Combeferre smiled. "That's a very good idea. Regular meetings. Enjolras? What do you think?"
--
Enjolras smiled and nodded his head. "Yes, that sounds like a wonderful idea," he said.
--
Courfeyrac beamed. "It will be good. I loved our meetings."
"And wonderful to have new people," Combeferre added. "Especially more ladies." He smiled at Penny.
-- --
Penny smiled at Combeferre and kissed his cheek.
Enjolras nodded his head. “Yes, of course,” he said. He looked at Grantaire. “You will join us?” he asked.
--
Grantaire raised an eyebrow. “Perhaps. Will you mind if I continue to heckle you?” he said teasingly.
--
Enjolras grinned. “No. Well, perhaps a little,” he said. He leaned forward and kissed Grantaire softly.
--
Grantaire smiled against his lips. “I won’t be as bad as I was,” he promised.
Courfeyrac sighed happily. “I’m so glad everyone’s here. Oh, the Pontmercys will be by in a little bit. When Fantine wakes and is ready to grace us with her presence.”
--
“I know that you won’t,” Enjolras murmured. “I love you.”
Jehan smiled. “Yes, we need baby cuddles too,” he said.
Enjolras grinned at Grantaire at the mention of baby cuddles.
--
Grantaire grinned. “Oh, excellent. Yes, Fantine will definitely be welcome.”
Combeferre smiled fondly.
“We need more babies to cuddle.” Courfeyrac poked Combeferre. “Make us more babies!”
--
Penny giggled a little at Courfeyrac. “Right now?” she asked.
Enjolras’ grinned more widely at Grantaire. Soon they would have a baby of their own.
--
Grantaire ducked his head to hide his grin in Enjolras’ shoulder so he wouldn’t be completely obvious.
Combeferre chuckled. “He will say yes to that, Penny.”
Courfeyrac grinned. “Of course I will! Make little Combeferres. They will be very beautiful and very smart, just like their father. And mother too.” He grinned at Penny.
--
Enjolras smiled and ran his fingers through Grantaire’s hair.
Penny smiled. “That is very sweet of you, Courfeyrac. We will have babies at some point.”
--
“Yay! Soon,” Courfeyrac said, grinning at them. “Make it soon.”
"We'll see," Combeferre said. He held Penny closer, so happy to be able to be planning their future like this. They shouldn't wait too long - maybe not for children. But he wanted to marry her. He needed to ask her. And soon.
Grantaire leaned into Enjolras. Hopefully, Courfeyrac would have more babies to play with soon.
--
Penny smiled. "Yes, we will," she said. She definitely wanted babies with him.
Enjolras hugged Grantaire tightly, so glad he had been brought to this ship and have the chance to be with Grantaire.
--
Combeferre shifted slightly. He had to ask her now. "Is anyone hungry? We could go make breakfast. Penny, will you come with me?"
--
Penny nodded her head. "Yes, of course." She wanted to be near Combeferre today.
Enjolras nodded his head. "Yes, I am hungry," he said. He grinned at Grantaire. He had worked up an appetite.
--
Grantaire waggled his eyebrows at Enjolras.
Combeferre smiled, and then disentangled himself from his friends, getting to his feet and holding out his hand to help Penny up.
“We’ll be back soon.” He pulled Penny out of the room a little urgently. How was he going to ask her? Maybe he should wait and come up with a proper plan.
--
Enjolras chuckled and leaned forward to kiss Grantaire eagerly.
Penny took Combeferre’s hand and smiled warmly and let him pull her out of the room.
--
His mind was racing as he led her down the corridor. How should he ask? He had to ask.
He spotted a door and smiled slowly, leading Penny towards it. “Just … a moment, can we stop in here?” He nodded to the door that led to the butterfly room, his heart beating fast.
--
Penny nodded her head and smiled at him. “Yes, of course,” she said. She recognised the room, of course.
--
He stepped inside with her and wrapped his arms around her, holding her close for a moment as he tried to breathe calmly.
“I love you.”
--
Penny hugged her back tightly. “I love you, too,” she said. She was a little worried about him. He seemed to be rather…. nervous or worried. She supposed it must have had something to do with the day it was.
--
He took a deep breath. “I … have not planned this in any specific way, but I must ask you. I can’t leave it any longer. This isn’t because of … what today is. Not entirely. I want to do this and I’ve known it’s what I have wanted for some time. But I have a future now and I want it to be with you…”
He was rambling. And he hadn’t asked her yet. He paused, then moved back and knelt down in front of her. “Will you marry me?”
--
Penny’s eyes widened a little and she smiled widely. “Yes, yes of course I will,” she said. She leaned down and kissed him eagerly.
--
He straightened up, wrapping his arms around her as he kissed her back. "Thank you. I love you," he murmured against her lips. He felt giddy and dizzy with happiness.
--
She shook her head. "You don't need to thank me. I love you and I want to spend my life with you. Of course I will marry you. You are so wonderful and kind and caring and intelligent and easy on the eyes and I feel so lucky."
--
He held her close, smiling as he did. “I am lucky too. You are smart and care so much and are so … selfless and beautiful.” He kissed her again, deeply, holding her close.
--
She held him tightly and smiled against his lips as they kissed. She pulled back after a few moments and giggled, burying her head in his chest. "I am so happy right now."
--
Combeferre kissed along her cheek and up over her hair as he held her. "So am I. So happy." He held her closer, kissing along her cheek again.
--
She moved back enough to lean up and kiss him hungrily. "Do you think we should celebrate?"
--
He nodded. "Yes. Definitely."
He held her close and glanced around. They could go back to the room but they'd have to explain and the others were expecting food... He led her over to the door and slid a hand along her back, making sure there were no butterflies there. He pressed her against the door firmly and kissed her deeply.
"Here?" He asked, his voice low.
--
Penny shuddered when he pressed her against the door and kissed her. God, he was just so hot and wonderful and sweet and he wanted to marry her!!
She nodded her head, fingers scrambling to push his t-shirt up.
--
He pushed the hem of the tshirt she was wearing up, reaching under them to hook his fingers in her underwear. He tugged them down urgently, pressing close to her as he slid his hand up her thigh and between her legs, needing to touch her, to feel close to her.
--
Penny let out a loud moan when he started to touch her and she moved her hands to his pajama bottoms, pushing them down. She wrapped her fingers around his cock and started to stroke him. “I need you,” she moaned.
--
“Mm,” Combeferre said, bringing his hands to her hips and lifting her up. He pressed her against the wall, guiding her legs around his hip as he shifted into position. “I am all yours,” he murmured, before gently pressing into her with a soft moan.
--
She wrapped her arms around his neck and held on to his waist with her legs. She moaned as he pressed inside her and she leaned forward to kiss him hungrily. She was so crazy about him.
--
He started to move his hips, quickly building up a rhythm. He couldn’t hold her like this for very long and anyway, he was impatient. He needed her. She felt so perfect, as always, and they were going to marry and he had never felt this happy in his life.
“I love you,” he murmured breathlessly against her skin.
--
Penny rocked her hips in time with his movements, getting closer and closer with each thrust. She wasn’t going to last long.
“I love you, too,” she moaned.
--
He kissed along her neck, pressing her against the door more firmly to support her as he slipped a hand between their bodies to tease her clit. He was so close, he was completely lost in her and he never wanted this feeling to go away.
--
She let out a loud groan as he started to tease her clit and then she cried out as she came, clenching around him.
--
He grunted as he followed her, thrusting into her erratically a few more times before he came. He slumped forward slightly, still holding her up as he caught his breath.
“Penny. Oh, my.” He nuzzled her neck as his breathing returned to normal.
--
Penny smiled widely. “You are the most amazing man I have ever met,” she said, slightly breathlessly.
--
He smiled, pulling back to kiss her firmly. “You are the most amazing woman I have met.” He kissed her forehead before gently setting her down again. “I can hardly believe we are engaged.” He grinned widely.
--
She wrapped her arms around his waist when he set her down and she leaned against his chest for a moment. “I can hardly believe it either.”
--
He held her close, pressing a kiss to the top of her head. “I - have never been so spontaneous in my life.” He grinned. “It feels wonderful.” He squeezed her gently. “I wasn’t prepared though - but perhaps this is better - do you want a ring? It’s traditional in your time, isn’t it?”
--
She looked up at him and smiled widely. “It does feel wonderful.”
She shook her head. “It is traditional in my time but no. I would much rather whatever a ring would cost to go to the homeless. That would be a much better use than for me to wear a band on my finger.
--
Combeferre beamed, lifting her up again and kissing her firmly. “I love you. That is why I want to marry you. That there.” He nuzzled her cheek as he set her down again.
“But here… we may not have to spend too much. We can look at the rings in the wardrobe room. If you want one. If not, we will get simple wedding bands and that will be all we need.” He nuzzled her cheek.
--
She squeaked a little when he lifted her up and giggled before kissing him back.
“We can take a look,” she said, beaming at him.
--
He nuzzled her cheek, then glanced at the door and down at his trousers, still pooled at his feet. His cheeks heated. “Ah, we should probably… leave. Perhaps make breakfast, and take it to the others.” He grinned. “Should we tell them today?” He hoped she would agree. It would be nice to have good news to share with his friends.
--
Penny giggled and reached down to pull her knickers back up. “Yes, we should. And we can tell them today. I think it would be nice to share some good news.”
--
“Yes. It will be.” He kissed her again and stepped away to pull up his trousers. He held out a hand to her and moved to open the door. “We’ll bring the food and good news,” he said, leading her into the hallway.
They returned to the room a little while later with eggs, toast and coffee for everyone. The Pontmercys had arrived, and everyone was lying on the blankets. Jehan was curled around Courfeyrac, who had a tight clasp on Marius, who had his head buried in Cosette’s hair. Beside Cosette, little Fantine lay, gripping her mothers’ finger tightly. Enjolras was on Fantine’s other side, facing the others, and Grantaire was curled against his back.
Courfeyrac lifted his head. “At last! You were gone a very long time. Were you making us a baby?” he asked with a grin.
“At the very least they were practicing,” Grantaire added.
Combeferre grinned at Penny as he set down the tray. “Well. We had to celebrate our engagement.” He pulled Penny close and kissed her firmly.
--
Penny went into his arms willingly and kissed him back, deeply.
Enjolras smiled and looked up at them. “Congratulations,” he said.
Jehan let out a cheer. “Oh that’s so great! I’m so happy for you guys!!!”
--
Marius beamed. “Combeferre, that is wonderful. It is the best thing that will ever happen to you.” He squeezed Cosette closer to him.
Courfeyrac beamed and jumped to his feet, bounding over to wrap them both in a quick but crushing hug. “Finally! I’m delighted he finally asked you. I’ve known you would be married since I first met Penny.” He kissed both their cheeks then went instantly back to Jehan.
Grantaire smiled. “I’m very happy for you both. And the food smells delicious, thank you.” He kissed Enjolras’ hair and lifted himself up.
--
Cosette smiled when Marius spoke.
Jehan held his arms out to Courfeyrac when he rushed back over to him.
Enjolras followed Grantaire to his feet and walked over to Combeferre and Penny, hugging them both. "Being married is wonderful."
--
Courfeyrac tugged jehan up and led him to the food, an arm around his waist.
Combeferre smiled as he hugged Enjolras. "You certainly make it look very appealing."
They all ate, and then Courfeyrac and jehan cleaned the dishes but came back immediately and Courfeyrac tried to arrange himself so he was cuddling as many of his friends as possible. They spent most of the day there.
Cosettes father stopped by, and hugged Marius tightly. He took little cosette for a while, and so when there was a knock on the door a little later Marius just lifted his head.
"That's probably Papa."
"Come in," Grantaire said with a grin. "Especially if you have a baby."
Brooke opened the door and peered in. "Well -" she started, then paused. "Oh hey. Is this... A bad time?"
Grantaire sat up, shaking his head. "No, no." He glanced to the side at Enjolras.
--
Enjolras sat up straight when Brooke walked into the room. "No, it's fine. What can we do for you?" He knew she wouldn't tell the other about the baby.
--
Brooke smiled. "I just wanted to say hi. And I have some clothes for you guys. I found some cool stuff. But if you're busy..."
Courfeyrac smiled up at her. "Join us, Brooke!"
"What would I be joining?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Oh it's not an orgy, we agreed no more after the last time. Just cuddling."
"Well if it's not going to be an orgy..." Brooke said, sounding jokingly disappointed.
--
Enjolras jumped to his feet. "We can go take a look with you," he said. He glanced at Courfeyrac. "We won't be long." He held his hand out to Grantaire.
--
Grantaire took his hand and got to his feet. "Of course."
"Yes of course you will. It's been almost half a day since you have had each other. You will need to stop somewhere and remedy that," said Courfeyrac teasingly.
Grantaire waggled his eyebrow. "Well it is almost lunch time."
Brooke giggled as they moved towards the door.
--
Enjolras chuckled. "Okay, we will be long," he said. He walked with Grantaire out the door with Brooke and waited until the door was closed to speak again. "Is everything okay?"
--
Brooke nodded. "Yeah. Is everything okay with you guys..."
Grantaire nodded. "It's fine. It's ... The fifth of June. The anniversary of ... Of the rebellion." He squeezed Enjolras'' hand.
"Oh. Oh god that must be... Really weird. Sorry I interrupted..."
--
Enjolras squeezed Grantaire's hand back. "No, no. It is fine. Tomorrow will be weirder. I'm not sure what you are meant to do for the anniversary of the day you died."
--
Brooke's eyes widened. "Wow. Weird. So weird." She hesitated. "Maybe this could wait..."
Grantaire tilted his head. "What is it?"
"Just .. I had a checkup this morning with Trixie and they're pretty sure I'm ovulating. So if you wanted we could ... Try today? Maybe we should leave it until next month if you guys don't feel up to it."
--
Enjolras glanced at Grantaire. "I think we should try it. It would be nice to have something good happen during these days. Unless you would rather we wait?"
--
Grantaire shook his head emphatically. "No. Definitely no waiting. That would be - yes. Let's try this month."
Brooke grinned. "Wow. Sure. Okay then. Call by Trixie and she'll ... Give you instructions and I'll go by after and ... We'll make a baby."
Grantaire grinned. "Thank you. Yes." He hugged Brooke then turned to Enjolras with a wide smile.
--
Enjolras moved forward to give Brooke a quick hug too and then wrapped his arm around Grantaire's back. "'We'll make a baby' has to be the best sentence in the world."
He leaned in and kissed Grantaire's cheek.
--
Brooke grinned. "Okay I'll leave you guys too it this part has nothing to do with me."
Grantaire smiled at her. "Thank you. So much."
Brooke grinned and hugged them. "Go to Trixie. Hurry."
Grantaire nodded, taking Enjolras'' hand and leading him towards the infirmary. He laughed. "Courfeyrac will be happy someone is making him a baby..."
--
Enjolras grinned and followed Grantaire quickly. He chuckled at Grantaire's words. "Yes, he will. Though he will not find out for a while."
He stepped inside the infirmary with Grantaire. "Hello, Trixie," he said.
--
Trixie beamed. "Hello. Brooke sent you? We're ready to go today?"
Grantaire nodded. "We are. Definitely."
"Wonderful. Here comes the slightly less romantic part." She held out two cups to them. "I'll need you to fill these. You do want it to be both of you don't you?"
Grantaire nodded. "But I'm rooting for his genes," he said with a grin.
--
"Yes, definitely ready," he said.
He grinned at Grantaire. "And I am rooting for yours, my love." He took a cup from Trixie. "Thank you."
--
Trixie glanced around. "You can stay here. Or... Well if you want to go somewhere more private..."
Grantaire chuckled. "All our friends are in our living room. Might be hard to sneak it out." He glanced at Enjolras. "My studio?"
--
Enjolras nodded his head. "Yes, your studio is perfect. Thank you, Trixie."
He took Grantaire's hand and led him out the door. He was very eager to get started, for the baby and because he hadn't touched Grantaire in a while.
--
Grantaire followed him quickly, locking the door as soon as they were inside. "This is really happening..."
--
Enjolras nodded his head. "Yes, it is," he said. He walked over to the couch and set the cup down before moving back to Grantaire and kissing him deeply. "I love you, so much. Words are not enough to describe how much."
--
Grantaire set his down and kissed Enjolras back. "I love you too. I - god this is so far from what I expected my life to be."
He kissed Enjolras hungrily.
--
"It is so far from what I expected my life to be, also," he murmured against Grantaire's lips. He started to unbutton Grantaire's shirt, moving his mouth to kiss along Grantaire's chest as he did.
--
Grantaire moved to undress Enjolras too, working quickly. “Need to feel you close to me first,” he murmured, tugging down Enjolras’ trousers.
--
He pushed Grantaire’s shirt off and then started to work on his pants, undoing them and tugging them down. “I need to feel close to you, too. I’ve wanted you all morning.” He wrapped his fingers lightly around Grantaire’s cock.
--
Grantaire wriggled out of his clothes and slid his hand along Enjolras’ back, lying down on the couch and tugging Enjolras over him. “Mmm, poor Enjolras. We should have escaped sooner.” He wriggled under him, pressing his hips up. “We can’t finish like this, but can we start? Just … want to feel close to you when we do this. I don’t just want to … aim for the cup straight away.”
--
Enjolras straddled his hips and ran his fingers through Grantaire’s hair. He groaned as Grantaire pressed his hips up and their cocks slid together. He nodded his head. “Of course. We’re going to make a baby, Grantaire. We should be close to each other.”
--
Grantaire gasped at the feel of Enjolras sliding against him. “Mmm. Trixie is wrong this is going to be romantic.” He grinned up at Enjolras, rocking his hips slowly.
--
“Yes, we will make sure it’s romantic,“ he said, groaning when Grantaire rocked his hips. He gripped Grantaire’s shoulders to press down against him, really enjoying the feel of their cocks sliding together.
--
Grantaire was enjoying it too, so much. He lifted his head, burying his nose in Enjolras’ curls and moaning softly.
“You’re incredible, so incredible,” he murmured.
--
Enjolras rocked his hips again. “Can I take you?” he asked. He wanted to be buried inside Grantaire.
--
Grantaire bit his lip. “Maybe - wait? Until after… if you’re inside me I won’t be able to concentrate and … later. Definitely later.”
--
He nodded his head. “Okay. Later,” he said. He lowered his head to kiss Grantaire deeply, rocking his hips again.
--
Grantaire shuddered, moaning into the kiss. “Tonight, you should just take me for hours, just stay there.” He rocked his hips up a little more urgently.
--
“That sounds perfect.” He grunted as Grantaire rocked his hips more urgently. “God, Grantaire. Feels so good. You feel so good.”
--
“So do you. So amazing, so good.” Grantaire shuddered. “Mmm, touch me. I want you to touch me while I come, I want to touch you when you do.”
--
Enjolras slid his hand between them and wrapped his fingers around Grantaire’s cock, stroking him lightly. “I love touching you.”
--
Grantaire moaned. “Love your hands, your beautiful hands... “ He grunted. “Fuck. So good.” He reached out to grab the cup, his breathing coming out harsher as he came closer and closer.
--
Enjolras stroked him more firmly, flicking his wrist slightly as he did. “Love your cock, your gorgeous cock. My gorgeous, wonderful Grantaire.”
--
Grantaire jerked his head forward. “Ah, going to - take -” he gasped, pressing the cup into Enjolras’ other hand and somehow holding back until he thought Enjolras had it in the right place. He came with a low moan, tossing his head back against the couch.
--
Enjolras drank in Grantaire’s expression as he came. He loved this man, so much. And they were making a baby. He couldn’t have been happier right now. “You are so amazing.”
--
Grantaire panted, looking down at the cup. He grinned in relief. “Thank god. I would not have caught any of that.” He leaned up to kiss Enjolras. handing him the lid and reaching for the second cup.
“Your turn,” he said, winking at him as he wrapped the fingers of his other hand around his cock.
--
Enjolras chuckled. “Then it is lucky I am here,” he said. He kissed Grantaire, deeply. He put the lid on the cup and set it down carefully.
He groaned as Grantaire wrapped his fingers around his cock and he bucked against his hand.
--
Grantaire leaned forward, kissing Enjolras’ chest and neck as he stroked him. “You’re so beautiful, I love you so much, I can’t wait to hold our child,” he murmured.
--
He moaned as Grantaire kissed his chest and neck. “I can’t wait either. Our child. Love how that sounds. Love you. God, Grantaire.”
--
“Yes, Enjolras, yes. Let go, come for me, come for me so we can make a baby.” He smiled widely against Enjolras’ cheek.
--
“Do you - ah- do you have the cup ready?” he managed to ask. He was so close. He couldn’t last much longer. Grantaire had him all wound up.
--
“Yes, yes I’m ready. Come for me, Enjolras,” he murmured, squeezing him more firmly and holding the cup in place.
--
Enjolras grunted loudly as he came hard in the cup. He slumped forward to rest his head on Grantaire’s shoulder, panting hard.
--
Grantaire moaned, sliding his thumb over the tip of Enjolras’ cock just after he came, catching the very last drop. He licked his thumb and reached for the lid, grinning up at Enjolras. “As much as I want to curl close to you now and just … not move forever, I think we should get this to Trixie.”
--
Enjolras pulled back in time to watch Grantaire lick his thumb. “You are just so….. sexy,” he said. “Yes, you are right. We can get back to curling close after we give this to Trixie.”
--
Grantaire winked up at him. “You taste so delicious.” He glanced at the cup, smirking. “If it wasn’t needed for something so important, I could drink this down in one mouthful.”
--
Enjolras’ eyes widened a little. “Well, I could ask Trixie for another cup….. if you wanted,” he said.
--
Grantaire smirked. “I do prefer drinking it straight from the … bottle,” he said, waggling his eyebrows. He leaned in, intending to kiss the tip of Enjolras’ cock, but stopped himself.
“No, if I do that … this won’t get to Trixie and it needs to get to Trixie. We should get dressed.” He grinned sheepishly up at Enjolras.
--
Enjolras grinned back at him. “I love how much of an affect I have on you. It’s feels quite….. empowering.”
He got to his feet and started to pull his clothes back on.
--
Grantaire grinned as he followed him, pulling his clothes on. “I feel the exact same.” He leaned in to kiss Enjolras’ cheek when he was dressed, then picked up the cups.
“I love you. Let’s go try to make a baby. Or, we’ve done our part, so let’s let Trixie and Brooke finish trying to make the baby.”
--
He grinned and kissed Grantaire’s cheek in return.
“I love you , too. And yes, our baby. I’m so happy you agreed to it being an equal chance. This is just the most wonderful thing.”
--
Grantaire grinned. "Still cheering these guys on." He held up enjolras' cup as they headed for the door.
--
"And I am cheering your guys on," he said, smiling warmly.
--
Grantaire chuckled. They made their way back to Trixie, who grinned. “Hello again. Brooke is here, actually, so we can get started straight away. It’s very exciting, isn’t it?”
Grantaire nodded. “Very.” He peered into the room at Brooke, who was reading a magazine on an examining table. “We just want to say … thank you. Again.”
Brooke grinned. “You’re welcome. Again. Are you going to keep saying that for the whole nine months if this works?”
Grantaire shook his head. “No. Much, much longer than that.”
--
"Yes, much longer. Years later I think we still will be," he said.
--
Brooke smiled. “You guys are so sweet. I’m very glad I can do this for you. You brought your little cups?”
Grantaire nodded. “We did, Trixie has them. Do you…. I don’t know if you want us here, or….” he trailed off.
Brooke tilted her head. “I think.. maybe not? I mean, for every other appointment you guys can be there, but … it’s gonna be me in stirrups getting friendly with a turkey baster so…” She pulled a face. “Jeremy’s coming by. So it’s okay. If you don’t mind?”
Grantaire shook his head. “Of course not. We’ll… leave you to it. Thank you, and… good luck.”
Brooke smiled. “You’re welcome.”
--
Enjolras nodded his head. "Of course. You should have some privacy. Thank you, so much for this amazing gift, Brooke. And yes, good luck."
--
Brooke grinned. “Fingers and toes crossed,” she said as they left. Grantaire held up his hand, with his fingers crossed, and then looked at Enjolras. “Well. We should… go back to the others. Maybe take them lunch?”
It felt so strange just going on as normal when by the end of the day, they could have created a new life.
--
Enjolras took Grantaire's hand. "Yes, we should do that. And maybe later we can find some time to be alone," he said. He kissed Grantaire's cheek lightly.
--
Grantaire nodded. "Definitely. As soon as I'm recovered." He winked at Enjolras.
--
Enjolras smiled and led him to the kitchen. "What should we make for lunch? Speaking of, I've been thinking I should learn how to cook. For the baby."
--
Grantaire beamed. "That's a wonderful plan. I thought... Probably soup?" They could heat that from a can. But enjolras was right. They would need to be able to feed their child.
--
"Soup sounds perfect." He moved to give Grantaire a kiss. "I love you."
