Who: Sherlock and John What: Sherlock tries to sleep. Where: Their room When: Night, and the morning after Rating: TBD
Sherlock knew his limits. So, when he was feeling tired, he left the library and made his way to the room he shared with John.
John was sleeping in the bottom bunk. Sherlock was as silent as he could be as he kicked off his shoes and stripped down to his underwear. He climbed up to the top bunk, and attempted to settle down to sleep.
But it was impossible. He tossed and turned, but he couldn't get comfortable. He was incredibly frustrated. He had fallen asleep almost instantly the last time he went to bed. Why?
He sat up. He'd been in John's bed that night. The bottom bunk must be more comfortable than the top. He sighed, and kicking off the covers, climbed down.
He slid into the bottom bunk slowly, careful not to wake John. Almost instantly he knew it felt better. Comfortable, warm, and - the smell was familiar. Interesting.
He stored this information, resolving to examine it later. He was tired now, and was soon fast asleep.
