Marius had to take a deep breath, because Cosette lying in his bed was something he never imagined. It was almost overwhelming. He stepped into the room and closed the door. "I'll get the light," he mumbled.
He used the darkness as cover to take off his outer shirt and shoes and socks. He couldn't strip to his shirt to sleep with her. Not yet. He crawled in beside her. "Are you comfortable?" he asked quietly.
