Vreth looked pained for a moment. He honestly had no answer for her. He didn't even know what would happen to his forest with him gone. He simply assumed that without him, eventually it would either wither away and die, or fall to men and their terrible machines. But what of the other people on the ship? The things they had left behind? He did not understand what it was to leave family behind since he was so removed from his own. His family, if it could be called such a thing, were a unity and yet separate, independent. And that was how it worked.
"I do not know..." he eventually admitted, placing a hand on his shoulder. "It is not for me to know... I do not think anyone could truly know. But we cannot change things yet. We cannot blame ourselves, nor can be torment ourselves for what we have not done" he said softly.
