This was the worst possible countenance to present if the stranger desired work in the temple school. No sooner had she spoken than Souji's body unconsciously aligned into hassō despite his mind's present hesitance toward violence. The implicit threat in the woman's behaviour was triggering every impulse to eliminate her. It took several tense seconds before the samurai had recovered control of himself enough to speak. "I am not obligated to do any such thing." The soft timbre of Souji's voice had dropped an icy octave. "You will not address the head teacher so disrespectfully if you wish employment."
Though his posture did not leave the subtle lines of hassō he folded both arms over his chest in a considering gesture. Dark eyes swept over the unusually sharp appendages bristling with impatience. It would be hypocritical to deny her on the basis of dangerous capability... but Souji was not about to let her anywhere near children with such an attitude. All that had been demonstrated to him thus far was lack of humility and a shameless display of threat. Yet he was grateful for every asset he collected for this place. If it would help the children Souji could hardly turn a willing teacher away. Tipping his head to one side, the young teacher appeared an amalgamation of stern and equitable. "Try again."
