"Bollocks" he replied, laughing. "You expect me to walk away, that's what you expect from me. You expected me to hate you and leave. Now don't tell me I'm not right either" he smirked. Dan brought the cigarette up to his lips and took a quick drag before blowing the smoke away.
"Have I walked away yet?" he asked him. "If we were back in our own world, if we had actually met back there, maybe I'd have walked away from you, but we wouldn't have met under the same circumstances. I'd have been on a job and you'd be the story" he said honestly. "But we're here, as I've said" he said, flicking the loose ash away into the little plastic cup.
Dan sat back down again. "We're here and there's nothing that can be done" he shrugged gently. "So it's up to you. Do you want to move forward?" he asked.
