He slid his arms around Gil's neck and pulled himself up, pressing tightly against him. "Don't leave me," he gasped brokenly. "Nothing nice that happens to me ever lasts." God, it hurt. How did people do this 'honesty' stuff? Putting himself out there for Gil to see made him... terrified. Vulnerable. Gil knew how to hurt him. How could he not take advantage of that?
