Kai jumped when the Baron roared, his eyes widening as he stared at the larger man. Kai couldn't tell him, even if he wanted to. He had no idea who or what he was, where he had come from. All he had were vague memories he had gained by looking through other peoples memories. And now that he was trapped, he couldn't do that any more. The only thing Kai ever truly remembered was his purpose, his goal. Bringing about the time of the Imagin. He couldn't remember when he first chose to try and help them, he couldn't remember why he chose to. He couldn't remember anything at all about his past. And for the first time in a very long time, he felt human for the moment. He felt like a trapped little boy.
It was a shame that his face didn't reflect those feelings. He should have looked terrified. And perhaps, there was something in his eyes that showed that true fear. But not his face. No. His lips were twisted into that cruel smile that was once probably rooted in kindness. "I can't tell you what I don't know, can I?" he asked him slowly.
