"Shut up!" he shouted at Kai, slamming the door into him again. "Shut up shut up shut up!" He punctuated each cry with another swing of the heavy metal door. He snarled down at the man, then looked up, eyes flashing. He stared right at Tarvek, his father's presence not yet penetrating the fugue state he was in. A smile crossed his face. "Go on," he said. "I can handle this. I won't let this miserable thing hurt you again."
