Enjolras had been shown to a room by Brooke where he had left the clothes she had given him in a neat pile on a chair. And then she had shown him the library. After a few hours rest he had returned to the library. He wondered briefly where Grantaire was, but he knew the man could look after himself and he did not want to argue any more.
He found all sorts of books on French history. He pulled down a stack of them and found a chair to sit on and soon he became engrossed. So engrossed in his reading that he didn't hear someone else enter the library.
