Tyrion was quite impressed by the way she handled herself. He hadn't seen that many little girls stand up to men, never mind armoured guards, in his entire lifetime. But there she was. A girl from another world, another universe, standing taller than her height could physically represent. And she was observant too.
"Oh, I like you" he said, smiling at Matilda. "They are quite keen observers, these foreign girls. I would have thought you might have known that by now" he said to the guard, with a cheeky and knowing tone of voice.
The guard looked quite angry now. At both of them. He moved his hand to grab his blade but was stopped by one of the others. The other guard simply shook his head, and whispered something in a rather low voice to him. The guard who had been questioning poor Matilda nodded and moved his hand away from the weapon.
"Now if you will kindly excuse us, we have a tour to continue. Or would you rather that unkindly words return to her shores about our hospitality?" he asked. The guard merely grunted and called for his men to continue their patrol.
