Kyoraku studied the man for a short while, unsure what to make of him entirely. Though he could sense something akin to Reiatsu coming from The Doctor, the spiritual pressure of this man was certainly not human and nothing like a Shinigami or a Hollow's. He was something Kyoraku had never encountered before. Then again, he made as much sense as this place did.
"Though I know nothing of this ship, I do know that when a riverboat stops working you check the oars. If the oars are there, then you check the rudder. If the rudder works then your problem isn't the boat, it's the river." He leaned forward, taking a sip of sake from his cup. "Maybe the water is too shallow, or the boat has run against rocks. Either way, the problem isn't the boat, it's the river."
He placed down his cup and leaned back against the wall. "Maybe something is keeping us here that can't be fixed from inside the ship?"
