"I'm getting worked up because there isn't anything I can" he finally replied. He looked like a man wounded and defeated in war, dejected and out of energy. His arms hung limply by his sides as he walked away from her, back over towards his bed. Sitting down, he let out a long sigh.
"I can't touch this TARDIS... Granted I've already interfered, uploading the universal maps and time charts, but... if I do any more I risk turning this into a paradox machine, and that is something I can't do. Not with all these people on board" he said, looking down. "All I can do is guide the TARDIS with what I have given her, try to keep these people safe from being chucked into Fort Chimera, and that's it... follow the trail, gather the clues as they come" he paused and looked to River. "People here, on this TARDIS, are losing hope... I'm losing hope..." he admitted. And it struck painfully in his eyes. He didn't like being this weak.
