Oliver still loved Laurel...more than life itself, if he were to be honest with himself. She was one of the few people in his life that still meant anything to him. He hadn't pushed the matter though, because he knew that things between them were going to be complicated. He had made a lot of mistakes where she was concerned, and he didn't want to make her think he expected more from her. He knew that he didn't deserve anything from her, let alone a second chance.
Oliver had made his way to the pool to see if some physical activity would clear his head. When he walked through the door and spotted Laurel a smile appeared on his face. He couldn't hide his true feelings when she was concerned. "Hello, Laurel" he answered, stopping in his tracks.
"How are you doing?" he asked, showing honest concern for how she was handling her new environment.
