Dan chuckled, smiling from ear to ear. Shaking his head, he took a drag from the cigarette. "Well, I've hopefully made a casserole" he replied. "I'm not exactly used to cooking but I read up about how to cook it so I hope it's edible" he added, walking over to stub out the cigarette.
He wandered back over, turning the cooker off. First, he drained the potatoes and put them on the plates. Then he fetched the casserole from the over, bringing out by protecting his hands with a folded cloth. He placed it on the dinner table and took the lid off to let the steam out. Placing the lid to the side, as well as the cloth, he picked up a ladle and put some onto both of their plates. Honestly, it didn't look that bad.
