The figure seemed to almost drift, her lithe and graceful figure standing out against the darkened silhouettes of trees, as if they were sketched in charcoal to accentuate her presence. She seemed to glow beneath the stars, her pale skin shone like polished silver.
Sensing the presence of the other, she slowly turned her head in his direction and smiled softly. Her eyes looked upon him with kindness, rather than a fear of the unknown. Carefully, she approached him, her eyes fixed on his own. Although it would seem as if she weren't moving at all. She had managed to hold his gaze and in doing so had captured all his senses. But there was nothing terrible about what she did, there was no harm, there was no ill intent. There was a feeling of curiosity, a feeling of great love and loss, and a great sadness about her. Each and every one of these emotions, pure and true. And yet, she smiled still.
"The tale of a new age has began" she said. But her lips did not move. She reached out with her mind and spoke directly into his own. "You too are lost, but the road is long and the journey is full of peril, is it not? All journeys must face their sorrows as well as their triumphs... and your path, like my own, has been left far behind to something unknown"
She smiled, and turned to look at the sleeping piglet. Gently, she knelt down beside it and delicately, reached to touch the slumbering creature. With care and tenderness, she stroked the sleeping piglet. Turning her head to look at Souji, she nodded. "My name is Arwen Evenstar. And might I ask, what your name is?"
