Even thought they were able to understand one another, there were still little things that didn't come across correctly, but at least they were able to correct one another and save confusion. Still Souji seemed rather bright, rather pleasant. Made the whole thing a lot easier. If only people were a bit more like this, his job would have been a lot easier but then again where would the fun have been? The challenge?
"We don't really tend to think that like that in England" he replied. "Most you'll get is some good teamwork. A team is sort of like a family when you get the right people together. They look out for each other, make sure the job gets done" he added, bringing the cigarette up to his lips.
Dan didn't quite mind the quick tap Souji had given him, and listened to what he had to say. He seemed quite the philosopher. Amusing to Dan, considering he never really thought of things like that. This man was almost his opposite. Dan dealt with rumour, dirt, sleaze, although his last job had directed him more towards professional journalism. He had learned a lot in his time working for his Father, working with Cal and his team.
"I'm not sure what deep meaning could have brought me here" he replied. "Still, I've got an open mind" he smiled coyly. "I try not to take things at face value either" and he couldn't. Bad journalists took things at face value. Dan was good at his job. He tried to look for the deeper meaning, he did his research and he shared the information he had with those he trusted. "Nothing's really what it seems at first. Starting to learn that more and more" he smirked, shaking his head.
