Dan noticed the way the other man started to fidget, playing with his hair. He saw the flush in his cheeks. Then again, Dan was also brilliant at noticing even the little things about a persons body language. He was a keen psychological study, and used it to his full advantages working as an investigative reporter. It came in handy, knowing what signs to look for when it came to getting information from people.
He smiled as he watched him, and flicked the ash into the little saucer. So, you're brothers back at home, right? He's not stuck here too is he?" he asked curiously. He wondered how worried this man would be about his home, his friends, and the situation they were dealing with. He knew that in his position, Dan would have been more than worried. But good at hiding it.
Dan nodded to his question. "We get the story out there to the public, get all the facts together. Make sure it all fits together and then... we publish it" he said with a smirk. "It's a tougher job than some might think. Not sure what good me any of that will do now that I'm stuck here" he added, looking around himself. "Still, I'm alive, aren't I? That's something" he said, smiling and winking at the other man before he took a quick drag from his cigarette.
