Dan nodded a touch and sat down on the floor, taking a cigarette from the pack. Next, the lighter. He placed the slender white stick between his lips, and out of habit, formed a wind shield with his other hand while he lit it. He pocketed the lighter once the cigarette was lit, and wafted some of the lingering smoke away.
"Tell me about it..." he replied. "You look a bit out of place too" he pointed out. "I'm guessing none of us really belong here" he said with a short sigh. He took a long drag on the cigarette, holding the smoke in and allowing his eyes to slip shut a moment. He exhaled the smoke and opened his eyes again. "So,you haven't been here long either... Is all that stuff about time machines and aliens actually true then?" he asked curiously. This man was so unlike anything he had ever really encountered, so very graceful in his mannerisms and speech... polite. And of course, handsome. Dan leaned in comfortably to listen to the young Japanese man, a smile playing on his lips.
