Who: Darvish and open Where: The garden When: Now What: Brooding Warnings: Some swearing, probably
Darvish settled on the grass in this impossible room, long legs folded beneath him. He'd come to accept that he wasn't in Palaton's tower. The rest of it, he barely understood. What he wasn't about to accept was that he'd lost Aaron and Chandra for good. He prodded reflexively at the rough edges where he'd been soul-bonded to Aaron, until just a few short days ago when Chandra'd removed the spell. It ached, that hole. Mostly because he knew he'd failed the man yet again. That... that he might not be able to save him. That he might never see him again. His heart clenched. NO. He refused to acknowledge that possibility. He'd save his little Outland thief, and his smug child-wizard, and they'd get the Stone and save his people.
