Ollivander awoke with a start and blinked owlishly at the blinding sunlight. He raised a hand to his face and frowned as he felt the inverted letters imprinted on his face. On the plain oak table at his front, the thick tome of Linde's Conundrum that served him of pillow laid innocently, cover up.
The wandmaker stood up with a grimace, and slowly dragged his way to the nearest restroom. He took a distracted glance at the mirror, failing to express surprise at the flat view of his appearance for once, and groggily refreshed himself up.
Ignoring the prickling in his extremeties as his blood rushed in activity, Oliver made way to the tall windows opening on the inner court of the building, and read the time on the giant dial that can be seen from all rooms of the Library. It was nearly time for his appointment. Ollivander promised himself to look up time-turners.
He then strolled down toward the floor for foreign materials, picking up on here and there on his way some volumes with appreciative familiarity. The stranger would arrive any minute now.
