Lily reached out for his hand, but only caught his wrist, almost afraid he would just leave. "Severus, how can you say that? You don't think our friendship was important to me?" The hurt was obvious on her face. Had she really been that terrible of a friend? Did she make Severus feel like their friendship was only second rate to her? "Whatever you think about what our friendship was, your wrong. You meant the world to me Severus...you still do." She let go of his wrist, shifting back as the crowd began to thin out.
"Right, class," she said, a little numbly. "I don't want to keep you. I just wanted to say hi. Not sure if I'll make it to my other classes today. You know..." She trailed off, not wanting to tell him she would be in the common room all day. "Um, I guess I'll talk to you later?"
