Remus had just managed to find a pair of clean bottoms and a t-shirt when he heard Sirius start to panic. It was becoming more and more apparent that this was more than just a really bad hangover. Had Lucius slipped him something and Sirius was still coming down from it? There was no telling at this point. All he knew was that he needed to be there for him.
Remus hurried back over to the bed and set the clothes down. He drew Sirius close to him, unwrapping him from around himself and sliding an arm around him. "I've got you," he said softly, and started to stroke his hair with his free hand a give him a good scratch behind the ear. "Everything is going to be all right." He couldn't make that promise for himself, but for Sirius, he'd see to it that it was true.
