James looked between the two situations panning out before him. On the one hand, he wanted to be calmed by Lily, but on the other, he just couldn't let his anger at Sirius go so easily. He chose to take a stance between both desires and just frowned deeply at Sirius as Remus tried to help him. It wasn't his own place to say how Remus should behave toward their friend, but having heard about what happened, he still couldn't forgive Sirius. Not yet. Surely there was more to the situation, as he was starting to realise, so he just let himself be a rational part of the conversation while he tamped down the anger.
"I'm probably not the best person to mention this right now, but d'you reckon he's just... I dunno, dazed or something? Maybe Madam Pomfrey should look at him before we try and do anything else." It was sensible, but he'd said it with a cold tone that indicated how little he wanted to interact with Sirius right then. The ice within his chest still had quite a bit of melting to do, but if he gazed long and hard enough on his mate's wretched condition, he might actually give up the butthurt routine and ease off.
